The Friends of the Purcell Public Library’s Books Sale makes its annual return July 16-18 at the library, 919 N. Ninth St.
The sale runs during regular library hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 18.
The public will have the chance to purchase low cost used books, with proceeds benefit the Friends and their many projects that benefit the library's service to the community.
As the sale draws to a close, prices traditionally are marked down, and many special bargains are available. Some brand new and like-new items are specially priced to reflect their better condition.

The Purcell Public Library, 919 N. Ninth, is doing its part to help save the environment by offering eco-friendly book bags for customers. The heavy-duty bags are made of recycled material and can be used to replace plastic or paper bags to carry library materials, groceries, or personal items. Bags will be sold for $1.50 each.
“These are the same bags we gave out as part of our library card sign-up campaign last September,” said Purcell librarian Carol Andes. “They were very popular with our customers and we have had many requests to make them available for purchase.” |
