Tax information @ your library

Pioneer Library System - Press Releases

From Flickr User blmurchTax Season is here, and your hometown libraries are ready to help you find the resources you need to file your taxes. This year, taxes must be filed by Tuesday, April 17, 2012. April 15 falls on a Sunday and April 16 is a federal holiday in Washington, D.C.

Each hometown library offers a limited supply of the most requested federal tax forms and is equipped to help you locate, download, and print your federal or state tax forms. Library cardholders may file their taxes online from library computers, but library staff is not trained to answer tax-related questions or work in actual preparation of forms.

Please note:

  • Standard charges for printing or photocopying apply. Black and white prints or copies are $0.15 per page. Color prints or copies are $0.30 per page.
  • Hometown libraries are unable to install personal tax software onto library computers.
