Question of all types are on the minds of many families sending students off to college this fall. That’s why the Moore Public Library is partnering with the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program’s (OGSLP) UCanGo2 Organization to help families learn more about preparing, planning and paying for college.
The library, located at 225 S. Howard in Moore, is hosting a UCanGo2 College Countdown event on April 1, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. During this event, students and parents will learn where to find the FAFSA and how to avoid common mistakes. In addition, they’ll get helpful answers to common questions about grants, scholarships and financial aid options.
OGSLP will also provide participants with resources and information about UCanGo2, a comprehensive outreach program that demonstrates the value of higher education, builds student aspiration and empowers families to overcome barriers to college access and success.
For more information and to sign up for this great college-bound program, call Moore Public Library 793-4349 or visit the Information Services Desk. To learn more about UCanGo2, visit www.UCanGo2.org. Moore Public Library is part of the Pioneer Library System.
