McLoud workshop targets Identity Theft Print

The McLoud Public Library offers local residents tips for avoiding Identity Theft during a program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at the library, 133 N. Main St.

The program is part of the Pioneer Library System’s Smart Investing @ Your Library series, which continues with several programs this fall.

The program for adults will provide an overview of common identity theft practices, tools for preventing identity theft and specific steps for victims of these kinds of crimes to take in order to minimize damage.

The class will be taught by Cody Buchholz of Tinker Federal Credit Union.

Get smart about credit at the McLoud Public Library

“Understanding Credit: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly,” is the topic of a presentation 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at the McLoud Public Library. Financial Education Consultant Inger Giuffrida is the presenter.

The class will teach participants not only to understand credit but how to use it and avoid having problems with it.  In addition, Giuffrida will show participants how to understand what is on their credit report and credit scoring.

Registration is required, either in person at the library or by calling 964-2960. The program is part of the Pioneer Library System’s Smart Investing @ Your Library series.
