facepaintingMcLoud Public Library has their end of summer Book Buck Summer Reading Program Arts Festival Thursday, July 23, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at the American Legion Hall. Children may spend their Book Bucks on a book walk, extreme inflatables, face and hair painting, snacks, simple arts and crafts, music and dancing. The day is sponsored by the McLoud Friends of the Library.

The Children’s Summer Reading Program is part of a state-wide reading initiative developed by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and offered state-wide with the support of Sonic—America’s Drive In, Corp., The Oklahoman, Institute of Museum and Library Services, and locally with the support of  The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation, Hitachi Computer Products (America), Inc., the Oklahoma Arts Council, Pioneer Library System, and Friends of the Library.
