Even with a little recent snowfall, the calendar shows signs that spring is nearing. That means it’s already time to think about the gardening season.
The Blanchard Public Library will host a Basic Soil Fertility for Homeowners class at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Community Room of the library, 205 NE 10th St.

Children can make a Valentine’s Day card at Blanchard craft program

Blanchard-area children can make Valentine’s Day special for a loved one with an upcoming Valentine’s Day Card Craft. The library will host the come-and-go program from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13.
Children will be supplied with all they need to make a colorful, memorable card, including construction paper, doilies, stickers and markers.

Children's programming resumes Mondays, Tuesdays later this month in Blanchard

The Blanchard Public Library’s children’s programming series continues with its Preschool Storytimes and the Melody Hounds music program on Mondays, and Rhythmical Lapsit for babies, toddlers and their caregivers on Tuesdays.
Preschool Storytime begins at 10:25 a.m. most Mondays, with programming resuming Jan. 24. It is geared for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers, who will enjoy stories, rhymes, action music, and an occasional craft to take home.
