The Tecumseh Public Library is accepting donations of good, clean used books for the annual Friends of the Tecumseh Library’s book sale, which is scheduled for Aug. 26-28.
All proceeds of the sale go to the Friends of the Tecumseh Library, a non-profit organization which supports the library’s many programs and events.
The Friends support the library by funding adult, children, and teen programs. The organization has contributed to the Summer Reading Program, the annual Christmas Gala, Red Dirt Book Festival, D.A.R.E. Safety Day, and the Reading Is Fundamental book give-a-way which gives away over 10,000 books to area children, as well as purchasing supplies for craft classes and story times.

Taking a look back into family history has evolved with the ever-expanding scope of the Internet. The use of modern technology continues to change the way people research the days of their past to learn more about where they came from.
As part of the Pioneer Library System’s Adult Summer Reading Program, people interested in learning more have an opportunity to learn more with a program being offered during July throughout the system.
Kathryn Ramsay, Local History and Genealogy Resources Librarian with the Pioneer Library System, will teach the course, which is being offered at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at the Tecumseh Public Library.
