The Friends of the Noble Public Library will have their annual book sale Aug. 6-8 at the library, 204 N. Fifth St.
The Friends’ members preview sale kicks off the weekend from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 6. Memberships to the group will be available for purchase.
The sale is open to the public Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday features a $5 bag sale, with customers able to fill a bag with books for $5.

Noble-area preschoolers and families are invited to hear a “whale of a tale” during Preschool Storytime 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the Noble Public Library, 204 N. 5th St.
The storytime, for ages 2-5, will feature stories, singing and fingerplays. Crafts and snacks will be provided.
Registration is not required.

It’s time to celebrate another busy season of Summer Reading in Noble.
The Noble Public Library will host its Summer Reading Program Cookout Closer 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the library, 204 N. 5th St.
Hot dogs will be served about 11 a.m., and outdoor games, sports and crafts will continue throughout the event.
Registration is not required.

It’s movie night in Noble, as the water-themed Summer Reading program continues at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16.
In the movie, Bill Murray stars as a Jacques Cousteau-like character who sets out to exact revenge on the "Jaguar shark" that ate his friend.
Popcorn and beverages will be served.

Noble author Donna Winchell will present her children’s book “The North Ducky Passage” to families at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, in the Noble Public Library’s Coman Culbert Community Room.
The program is geared toward children ages 2-5. In addition to the story, children also will participate in songs, finger plays as well as wet watery activities Participants are asked to dress in clothing that is okay to get wet in.
Winchell’s book recently was released nationally. It tells the story of a rubber duck separated from his baby in the tub during bath time. The book tells the story of what happens to Ducky.
