The Newcastle Public Library continues its participation in the Pioneer Library System’s Smart Investing @ Your Library series with several programs this fall.
The first program, on “Identity Theft,” takes place at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the library.
The program for adults will provide an overview of common identity theft practices, tools for preventing identity theft and specific steps for victims of these kinds of crimes to take in order to minimize damage.

Newcastle-area children and teens can bring home a creative craft from the library after activities scheduled this week at the Newcastle Public Library.
Children ages 12 and under with an attending adult are invited for a “Make-n-Take” craft program at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22.
And teens will use sand as their paint in a summer-themed craft program at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, at the library.
Participants will use sand and glue, provided by the library, in making their creations at the sand painting program.
Registration is required for each program at the library or by calling 387-5076. |

Storyteller Michael Corley brings stories about water and legends of the deep seas to the Newcastle Public Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20.
The event, for preschoolers, children and teens, will feature Corley’s presentation of “The Mystery of Davy Jones’ Locker!”
Corley, knows as Oklahoma’s “Storytelling Magician,” has performed for children at libraries, schools and other events across the state.
